I am developing this page in my spare time, which means that it is not being developed very quickly! I have been a member of the Department of the Earth Sciences faculty since August 1996. In addition to teaching meteorology courses, I am kept busy with a growing number of research projects. The main focus of my research at the current time (1998) is moisture transport in cyclonic storms, and lake-effect snow. Another project that is presently under way is the Interactive Digital Cloud Catalog. Also, we plan to expand the selection of forecast products available on our web page; these plots are based on data from our Local Data Manager (LDM), which is a datastream provided by Unidata. See the "current data" section of the Department of the Earth Sciences web page.
